About the Position: This position serves as a junior-level management and program analyst within the Los Angeles District Executive Office Synchronization and Initiatives Group (SIG). Recruitment/Relocation incentive may be authorized if found in the best interest of the Government. This recruitment has 2 assessments, a minimum qualifications and a USA Hire assessment. Both must be completed to be considered for this position.

Duties

Analyzes data for routine projects; applies knowledge of the organizational mission, projects, programs and processes to assess products and to streamline processes. Performs preliminary analysis of data for complex projects in support of senior analysts. Under the guidance of the SIG Chief or senior analysts, works with agency staff to develop briefings for the Command that deliver key mission-related data to stakeholders. Receives higher headquarters taskers, action items, and operation orders, analyzes them for applicability, and assigns suspense requirements to agency staff.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting staff members with briefings, reports, and initial review and analysis of project materials; coordinating with staff both verbally and in writing to execute administrative projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: business or project management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
