Duties

You will maintain management oversight and accountability for all shop stores and truck stock inventories in accordance with established regulations and procedure. You will assist supply branch staff in developing work methods, techniques, and desk guides to improve the accuracy of inventory records. You will perform physical inventories, physical location audits, wall-to-wall inventories and re-warehousing, also spot checks and cycle counts to determine accuracy of the inventory. You will resolve discrepancies with material orders and services received, arranges for rework, replacement, exchange, or return for credit of defective, damaged and/or incorrect material. You will process requisitions to purchase materials, supplies and equipment, review purchase requests, create and approve purchase orders. You will ensure system of record is correctly accounting for inventory.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current Forklift Operator certification.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card to make official government purchases for goods and services.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing inventory skills to track inventory, performs cycle counts, material ordering and replenishment, shop stores/warehouse receiving and receipting; 2) Performing data analysis by reviewing metrics and performance, evaluating the data, and making informed decisions on actions towards improvement; 3) Providing customer service by meeting the needs of internal and external customers, providing products and services to customers; 4) Leading teams through difficult issues and/or creation and implementation of new process requiring significant change; 5) Performing physical inventories, physical location audits, wall-to-wall inventories and re-warehousing, also spot checks and cycle counts to determine accuracy of the inventory; and 6) Resolving discrepancies with material orders and services received, arranges for rework, replacement, exchange, or return for credit of defective, damaged and/or incorrect material. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree

OR

Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a master's degree
