You will serve as a Inventory Management Specialist in the Public Works Department Production Division of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.

Duties

You will plan, schedule, fund track, and resource level to support a variety of facilities construction, maintenance and repair work orders and projects. You will utilize business applications systems used in a supply inventory management such as MAXIMO, Microsoft Office, MS Project systems for data entry and queries. You will monitor all job order numbers and project packages to ensure they are correct and funded properly. You will work under pressure of short fused requirements and adapt to changes of program requirements. You will perform physical inventories, physical location audits, wall-to-wall inventories and re-warehousing. You will be responsible for daily oversight and management of the NAVFAC Shop Store and warehouse to ensure the shop stores and warehouse are organized, work is accomplished safely and efficiently, and customers are assisted promptly. You will perform spot checks and cycle counts to determine accuracy of the inventory. Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates gains and losses, researches discrepancies, and takes corrective action. You will resolve issues with frustrated material for example, material received with no documentation, material received that does not match what was ordered, and material that needs to be returned to the vendor. You will resolve discrepancies with material orders and services received, arranges for rework, replacement, exchange, or return for credit of defective, damaged and/or incorrect material.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • A current Forklift Operator License (certification) based on the particular lift trucks that operators use in the workplace is required.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • Must be able to successfully complete the following training courses within prescribed timeframe: Fork Lift training, OSHA Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) and Basic First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) course
  • You will be required to wear safety shoes and eyewear and other personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, gloves, masks, and hearing protection.
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) At least 3 years' experience with navy financial systems including CFMS/SABRS or ERP. 2) Comprehensive knowledge with a minimum of 3 years' experience of all aspect of the NAVFAC Funds request, processing, and management including private party. 3) Substantial experience, at least 3 years with the NAVFAC funds tracking tools (IeFacman) and with MAXIMO. 4) Demonstrates significant leadership skills through the leading of teams through difficult issues and/or creation and implementation of new processes requiring significant change. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree

OR

Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a master's degree

OR

OR

A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
