You will serve as an EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT in the BUSINESS DIRECTORATE of NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING SYSTEMS COMMAND HQ located in Washington Navy Yard, DC.
Duties
You will provide executive direction, assistance and support for all operations and activities of the Directorate.
You will recommend changes to forms, documents, procedures, policies, etc., that will increase the effectiveness of the project area.
You will provide information to program staff on policies and procedures for government travelers and invited guests.
You will coordinate a wide variety of projects and taskings on behalf of the Senior Executive.
You will develop plans and objectives for assigned projects.
You will prepare and/or update reports, correspondence and other documents.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing Microsoft Office Suite applications such as Access, Excel, Word, Visio, SharePoint, and PowerPoint or similar systems; 2) Providing administrative assistance and support for an operation and exercising control over leadership calendars; 3) Applying management analysis principles sufficient to ascertain problems and develop milestones and recommending and implementing solutions; 4) Assisting in the review and development of policies and procedures to help improve the effectiveness of work operations; And 5) Applying knowledge of the DON Correspondence Manual to develop, proofread and edit correspondence ensuring compliance with DON correspondences standards.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
Three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.

A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
