This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14.
You will serve as the Security Coordinator Team Lead, OPSEC Program Manager, Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and NATO Control Point Officer in the Corporate Operations Department, Security Division, Security Policy & Programs Branch (Code 1051) of the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division.
Duties
You will lead and mentor a team of government and contractor security coordinators in security disciplines such as Physical, Information, and Operations Security to ensure compliance with all applicable directives.
You will provide standardized training in the Information Security arena to include Operations Security (OPSEC), Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), and General Security disciplines to employees and contractors.
You will act as a liaison between departmental employees and Command security subject matter experts.
You will report on progress of meeting established milestones and deadlines for completion of assignments, projects and tasks.
You will be responsible for the command's handling of North Atlantic Treaty Organization Restricted Data and Critical Nuclear Weapon Design Information classified material program and develop procedures for the handling and control of these materials
You will manage the command's CUI program to ensure subordinate commands comply with Department of Defense CUI program requirements.
You will serve as the Assessable Unit Manager (AUM) for the OPSEC Program.
Requirements

- MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-4 pay band (GS-11 and GS-12 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying a wide range of security administration principles to analyze and resolve difficult and complex security problems. Examples of qualifying experience may include (1) expert knowledge of security administrative directives and guidelines as they pertain to Information Security (INFOSEC), Operations Security (OPSEC), and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI); (2) expert knowledge of Operations Security Program management, including policy development and implementation and management of the OPSEC Threat Working Group; (3) advanced knowledge of executive orders, public laws, and security regulations in order to comply with all appropriate directives; (4) thorough knowledge of Restricted Data (RD), Formally Restricted Data (FRD), Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (NNPI), and Critical Nuclear Weapon Design Information (CNWDI).
