You will serve as a Supervisory Security Specialist in the AEGIS Training and Readiness Center of SURFCOMSYSTRNCMD AEGIS TRAREDCEN.
Duties
You will comply with authorized methods and procedures for destruction of Communications Security (COMSEC) material.
You will evaluate Information Security processes to identify deficiencies in security protocols.
You will create and manage an Operations Security (OPSEC) or similar plan for an entire security department.
You will administer a Personnel Security Program according to Dept. of Defense and Navy regulations and policies, and current laws.
You will assess adequacy of security capabilities (e.g. Physical Security posture) to adjudicate discrepancies and prevent security violations.
You will deliver security training to others for the understanding of and consistent use of security policies, procedures, and regulations.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Managing and implementing Security, Anti-Terrorism and Emergency Management program requirements for a complex facility; 2) Interpreting security policies, principles, methods, and practices to develop processes for a security program; 3) Utilizes a broad range of security programs in order to coordinate the objectives and plans for the security program; and 4) Guiding employees on conducting security inspections, identifying security problems, and resolving problems.
