About the Position: This position is located at the Human Resources Command, The Adjutant General Directorate, Evaluations Selections and Promotions Division, Fort Knox, KY. Assists Board Recorders for Department of the Army, Reserve Component (Army Reserve and Army National Guard) Army Selection Board System selection/promotion boards. Plans, administers, manages conduct, and assists in officer and enlisted boards.
Duties
Reviews files for accuracy and coordinates with both Army Reserve and Army National Guard evaluation sections to ensure completeness.
Provides telephonic customer support to Soldiers being considered for promotion.
Establishes daily workload and inputs proper filters into electronic system.
Upon completion of boards, sets proper codes and produces lists and board statistics which are scrutinized up to Senate and Presidential level and distributed worldwide.
Coordinates board membership for 30 boards consisting of approximately 18 General Officers and 150 other high-ranking officers and senior enlisted personnel.
Prepares travel orders and coordinates travel arrangements.
Briefs and assists senior ranking board members in the procedures and operation of the Army Selection Board System.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Reviewing performance and academic evaluations; 2) Briefing groups of people on policies and procedures; AND 3) Preparing correspondence in multiple formats (emails, letters, memorandums, reports, etc). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Human Resources
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
