About the Position: This position is assigned to the US Army Recruiting Command (USAREC), G-3, Enlistment Eligibility Processing Division (EEPD), Recruiting Operations Center (ROC). This position serves as Accessions Placement Representative.
Duties
Provide guidance for all enlistment overrides and processing support in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
Assist Guidance Counselors with cancellation of training reservations for both Regular Army and Army Reserve future Soldiers.
Request exceptions to policy from management on Delayed Entry Program (DEP).
Conduct briefings to a variety of distinguished visitors for an organization.
Prepare after action reports identifying deficiencies and provide recommendations for corrective action.
Operate a personal computer and software applications to support office functions.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.
- This position requires the incumbent to successfully complete the U.S. Army/Army Reserve Guidance Counselor Operations Course (GCOC) within 180 days of employment.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Reviewing documentation and records of applicants during the enlistment process; 2) Verifying that documentation is correct and adheres to military policy and regulations; and 3) Operating a variety of automated systems for an organization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
