About the Position: The Lead Contracting Specialist position GS-1101-12 is located at Madigan Army Medical Center (MAMC) at Joint Base Lewis-Mcchord, WA.

Duties

Leads a team of contracting officer representative professionals in the military treatment facility (MTF). Monitors and reports on the status and progress of work, checking on work in progress, and reviewing completed work to see that the supervisor’s instructions on work priorities, methods, deadlines, and quality have been met. Oversees contract development, contract surveillance, contract management, budget management, personnel management, education, and liaison/problem resolution. Interacts with higher headquarters at DHA, MTF, and other DOD personnel concerning policy. Tracks the progress of contracts by maintaining and processing information needed to monitor all actions, documentation of utilization of the DHCPP provider services. Monitors, inspects, analyzes, and evaluates the services and operations in accordance with required regulations and publications.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
  • Position required a contracting officer representative (COR) training.
