About the Position: This position is located with the Forces Command (FORSCOM), Fort Campbell, KY. Fort Campbell lies on the Kentucky/Tennessee border between Hopkinsville, KY & Clarksville, TN about 45 miles NW of Nashville. Both visitors & residents enjoy the shops & eateries of downtown Hopkinsville & Clarksville. The cost of living is lower than the average for all major U.S. cities.
Duties
Perform a variety of line item, financial, inventory, accounting work for automated financial programs such as General Financial Enterprise Systems (GFEBS)
Analyze the interrelationship of financial management considerations with logistical and procurement processes to determine follow-up financial management actions.
Conduct a variety of complex analyses of logistical/financial programs to include financial inventory accounting and the verification of data for consistency with other financial and program data.
Coordinate with financial specialists involved to carry out financial transactions necessary to make and record order adjustments.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required
- This position requires you to travel from the duty station up to 25% of the time.
- Certification Level 2: THIS IS A FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level 2 Certified position designated as such in accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 112-81.

Specialized Experiences GS-11:One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Managing financial management account records; 2) Utilizing automated financial management systems to identify discrepancies and make corrective action and; 3) Providing customer service assistance on accounting/logistical/financial matters. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
