About the Position: This position is located with the Resource Management Office, Fort Campbell, KY. Fort Campbell lies on the Kentucky/Tennessee border between Hopkinsville, KY & Clarksville, TN. The cost of living is lower than the average for all major U.S. cities.

Duties
Serve as principal advisor and technical expert to the commander and key staff members on financial management activities.
Serve as Garrison point of contact for coordination of concerns and/or problems with higher level Headquarters, outside Organizations and Agencies.
Oversee the Garrison operating budget program which consists of funds, manpower, equipment and contracts.
Exercise full authority for management and operation decisions related to financial and budget management requirements for all Garrison organizations.
Supervise the work of subordinate employees engaged in resource management functions.
Implement policies on administration and personnel management training and utilization.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- THIS IS A FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level 3 Certified position designated as such in accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 112-81.
- Position requires incumbent to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation may be required unless previously completed.
- Term employment is subject to a one year trial period.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Recommending budgetary/financial policies for a Command and/or Garrison level organization; 2) Monitoring installation funds and policy management; and 3) Resolving funding and problems affecting all areas of resource management. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
