Duties
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
As a Supervisory Financial Management Specialist, you will use your knowledge of and experience with Office of the Assistant Secretary for Financial Resources to optimize business results and customer experience by:
Supervising and leading a multifaceted team of financial and information technology (IT) professionals focusing on enhancements to financial reporting through strategic oversight and continuous modernization efforts.
Overseeing the design, preparation, and submission of comprehensive financial management reports and dashboards that meet both internal departmental needs and external regulatory requirements.
Developing uniform standards for financial data elements across the Department, and leads efforts to standardize data formats, metrics, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to facilitate accurate, efficient reporting.
Introducing innovative reporting tools and methods, such as predictive analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), or machine learning algorithms, to enhance the scope and reliability of financial reports.
Overseeing the operation, maintenance, and strategic development of cloud based platforms; ensures the platform remains customizable and scalable to meet evolving business needs.
Determining the goals and objectives for the office and establishes annual, midyear, and long-range work plans.
Providing programmatic information to justify annual budget submissions and managing the allocation and utilization of resources (such as budget, contract, equipment, and manpower) needed to accomplish program objectives.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENT:
You must have at least one-year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service performing ALLof the following:
1. Recommending strategies for adoption and implementation of business process improvement that can be effectively integrated into
existing financial system environments.
2. Overseeing the development and deployment of financial management applications and ensuring they meet specific organizational needs,
budgetary constraints, and timelines.
3. Fostering collaboration between financial and IT professionals to achieve comprehensive modernization and optimization of financial
operations.
