The FBI is recruiting a Vulnerability Researcher and Developer to support mission critical cyber operations. As a Vulnerability Researcher and Developer, you will specialize in the design, development, integration, and deployment of cutting edge tools and systems to support cyber operations and intelligence activities. Leveraging advanced knowledge and tradecraft you will produce creative, innovative, and elegant solutions to some of the toughest challenges.

Duties

Serve as a member of software development teams on problems of diverse scope and execute difficult development assignments including design of the conceptual approach, coding and debugging. Drive critical engineering programs and turn user needs into successful development and production programs. Analyze requirements propose solutions, conduct engineering analysis, manage development activities and transition systems to full operation. Design, development, integration, and deployment of cutting edge tools, techniques, and systems to support Computer Network Operations. Serve as project manager with responsibility of providing technical direction, administrative and other project responsibilities for the development of software in support of Computer Network Operations.

Requirements

Qualifications

GS-14: Applicant must possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level. SE is defined as follows: Experience in computer science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis. Experience in reverse engineering software/firmware. Experience in analyzing requirements and conducting engineering analysis. Experience in and knowledge of the latest state-of-the-art tools and techniques in support of Computer Network Operations. Experience in project management, system engineering and software development. Experience in the following: operating system internals and/or device driver development on Windows, Android, MAC, iOS, or OS platforms.

Education

Basic Education Requirement: Degree with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science. At least 15 of the 30 semester hours must have been in any combination of mathematics that included differential and integral calculus.
