Duties

Plan scholarship operations to include national and local programs encompassing high school applicants, active duty and reserve Army components. Ensure compliance with applicable guidance and public laws. Manage the Scholarship Selection process by establishing and working standardized processing procedures and file preparations. Ensure file accuracy to facilitate efficient organization when inputting data into databases. Develop replies to inquiries by interpreting regulations for decisions concerning applications. Resolve a variety of cases involving questionable or missing records and the application of laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Temporary Duty (TDY), approximately 15% of the time.
  • One Year probationary period may be required.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Customer ServiceManages and Organizes InformationProblem Solving Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).

Education

Master's degree or equivalent graduate degree (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)

2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
or
completion of all requirements for an LL.B or J.D. degree from an accredited college or university.
