Duties
Plan scholarship operations to include national and local programs encompassing high school applicants, active duty and reserve Army components.
Ensure compliance with applicable guidance and public laws.
Manage the Scholarship Selection process by establishing and working standardized processing procedures and file preparations.
Ensure file accuracy to facilitate efficient organization when inputting data into databases.
Develop replies to inquiries by interpreting regulations for decisions concerning applications.
Resolve a variety of cases involving questionable or missing records and the application of laws and regulations.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Temporary Duty (TDY), approximately 15% of the time.
- One Year probationary period may be required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work of this job. Specialized experience is defined as: Applying military personnel administration regulations to command programs such as scholarships and/or incentives, reviewing documents for accuracy in accordance with administration policies, and Maintaining applicant information and/or files to record in databases. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
Education

completion of all requirements for an LL.B or J.D. degree from an accredited college or university.
