Duties
Serves as Supervisory Logistics Information Specialist reporting to the Federal Logistics Information Service (FLIS) Portfolio Manager within Defense Logistics Agency (DLA).
Provides corporate information technology (IT) related acquisition program management of assigned portfolio and manages and oversees Automated Information Management Systems (AIS).
Directs and guides the development, acquisition, testing, systems integration, product improvement, and fielding of assigned IT programs.
Manages DLA Information Operations programs for enterprise architecture, emerging systems, and contemporary systems development and enhancements of current systems to include portfolio management and evaluation activities.
Provides guidance for the development, implementation, and sustainment of DLA and DoD enterprise priority programs.
As second level supervisor, directs, coordinates, and oversees work through subordinate leaders and supervisors, including setting priorities, developing work structures, and ensures work is performed to performance standards.
Oversees life cycle management of systems required to support the logistics community with information on items of supply.
Submits, manages, and executes budgets and identifies, manages, and prioritizes functional requirements.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Supervisory Logistics Information Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-14 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Develops and issues policies based on interpretation of regulations and directives to make interpretive decisions within program limits to ensure timely completion of projects and improve productivity.
Analyzes, synthesizes, and interprets data as it relates to logistical effectiveness and program performance.
Manages, coordinates, and oversees projects, programs, and personnel ensuring that specified goals, performance standards, and milestones are being met.
Directs, guides, and advises on the development, acquisition, testing, systems integration, product improvement, and fielding of assigned IT programs and logistic information systems.
Suggests improvements, changes, and initiatives to logistics data systems, operations, methods, and procedures to ensure efficiency, effectiveness and quality
