You will serve as a PROGRAM ANALYST in the DDG 51 Program Office of PROGRAM EXECUTIVE OFFICE SHIPS.
Duties
You will manage the AEGIS Shipbuilding program offices engineering, design and integration efforts for Combat Systems elements as installed on board DDG 51 Aegis New Construction Ships.
You will manage special developmental projects (affordability initiatives in all systems, turnkey implementations, electronic chill water system, etc.,) and participating in Process Action Teams (PATs).
You will review and approve change proposals affecting the design and testing in support of ship design activities.
You will plan, develop, and execute engineering work packages and Engineering Change Proposals (ECP), including Technical Data Package (TDP) development, for post-baseline ship changes.
You will conduct studies to identify ways to improve effectiveness of work methods, procedures, organizations, manpower use, distribution of work and similar functions.
You will direct engagement with various Program Executive Offices to resolve complex acquisition problems involving shipbuilding and ship systems design, integration and production concepts, contracting, budgeting, and payment methods.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 pay band (or GS-13 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector, evaluating the development, acquisition, test and evaluation, or integration of AEGIS Combat Systems to improve efficiency or effectiveness of shipbuilding operations.
