You will serve as an IT Specialist (PLCYPLN) in the U.S. Department of Navy (DoN) G6-Directorate of MARCORPS NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION.

Duties

You will be responsible for Policy/procedure development. You will serve as the Commands single point of contact over IT Maintenance Services matters for all subordinate Installation Commanders, affected Programs of Record, and Program Offices You will develop, through effective strategic level taskings and coordination, a strategic level Marine Corps Installations’ Information Technology Maintenance and Sustainment logistics strategy, policy, plan, and process. You will Conduct, plan, coordinate and review required Information Technology Maintenance and Sustainment program budget reviews for strategic IT sustainment and life cycle support and strategic personnel skills/training programs.

  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 752, proficiency level Intermediate. The incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Develop and implement CE/IT maintenance and sustainment policies, develop manpower and structure requirements, develop IT Workforce training standards and programs, audit and inspect IT maintenance procedures and policy performance, develop CE/IT asset life cycle sustainment policies, and provide oversight of these programs AND in addition, demonstrate the four competencies as defined below: 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Planning, coordinating, reviewing and conducting life cycle support requirements for Communication Electronics and Information Technology hardware programs. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Developing and maintaining strategic plans for CE and IT logistics maintenance objectives and goals in support of the organizations Command and Control Services mission areas. 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Interpreting complex data and maintenance analysis products and skill in interpreting maintenance metrics to determine the effects on command maintenance and support programs and to propose strategies for meeting maintenance and sustainment requirements. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Overcoming problems in their early stages and employ innovative management techniques to ensure program accomplishment.
