You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the JUDGE ADVOCATE DIVISION of HQ US MARINE CORPS.

Duties

You will advise on the development, implementation, and revision of financial management policies, plans and programs to facilitate the application of financial resources to achieve the mission. You will coordinate and implement all financial and acquisition functions with JAD, including management of Sexual Assault Prevention and Response funds. You will be responsible for ensuring JAD personnel are advised of critical issues or policy changes pertaining to fiscal issues. You will oversee funding aspects of Defense Travel System (DTS) for assigned personnel and be responsible for ensuring accurate funding exists in appropriate Lines of Accounting and approval of requests. You will serve as Government Commercial Purchase Card (GCPC) Approving Official for JAD.

• This is a Financial Management Level I certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing expertise in advising, assisting, developing, monitoring and planning long-range plans and annual budgets for programs and fund accounts.
