Supervisory Program Analyst for DCSA/BI Operational Policy & Procedures Group. The individual will supervise a group of investigative operational policy/procedures subject matter experts in the research, analysis, development, communication, and issuance of investigative operational policies and procedures to support the BI mission. This includes coordination and collaboration with multiple groups to include BI directorates, DCSA mission offices, and external Departments and Agencies as needed.
Duties
As a SUPERVISORY PROGRAM ANALYST you will be responsible for the following duties:
Supervises and directs the work of Operational Policy and Procedures Group members
Conducts or leads studies, research, or analysis of national suitability, security and investigative policies impacting DCSA/BI programs and takes necessary action to develop investigative operational policies and procedures.
Advises in the development of changes that cover various areas of DCSA's BI program as necessitated by changes in national and DoD-wide security and suitability requirements.
Coordinates the development of DCSA/BI investigative program operational policy, procedural changes, or other initiatives with BI mission offices and other customer agencies and organizations as needed.
Coordinates staff assignments to balance workload and ensures work assignments and special projects are of high quality and are completed in a timely manner.
Assigns work based on priorities and consideration of employee capabilities and level of difficulty, setting and adjusting priorities, facilitating work approach to completion.
Serves as a leader on policy-development and other projects that are of broad scope or involve significant complexities related to background investigations conducted by BI requiring a task force or study group approach.

Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position.
You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade (GG/GS-13) in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility.
Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience. Specialized experience for this position includes:
Supervising, facilitating and managing staff.
Conducts or leads research and analysis of national level investigative policies.
Conduct or leads development and issuance of operational policy in support of national policy and internal equities.
Staff assignments to balance workload and ensures work assignments and special projects are of high quality and are completed in a timely manner.
Customer service and internal/external stakeholder equities.
