You will serve as a IT SPECIALIST (SYSANALYS) in the Installations and Logistics Department, Facilities and Services Division of MARCORPS NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION.
Duties
You will coordinate with Headquarters Marine Corps Program Managers, Functional Area Managers, and subject matter specialists in activites serviced to dertermine nature and scope of operations.
You will conduct, at the strategic level, fact-finding and analytical studies to determine feasibility, costs, procedural changes, personnel and equipment requirements for accomplishing new or augmented applications.
You will study existing work methods and procedures, work flow, regulatory and procedural constraints, controls, and special conditions affecting data
inputs and outputs.
You will examine the nature and extent of flexibility to be incorporated into system to provide for foreseeable variations and fluctuations.
You will accumulates all relevant details necessary for development or restructuring of the information system.
You will develop a wide variety of strategic level information system applications which interface into and out of multicommand systems.
You will develops details of program logic to reflect ail complexities of information system components and interrelationships among categories of business processes, data, and making optimum use of equipment and software capabilities.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing at the strategic level, Business Systems Mission Analyzing for a variety of hardware platforms, operating systems, and networked systems, and is responsible for conducting computer systems analysis studies for complex administrative support systems and installations.
AND in addition demonstrate experience in the following:
1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Conducts, at the strategic level, organizational business process and information systems analysis and application development providing staff guidance and direction for the implementation of multi-command systems and for the development of new computer systems and establishing network connectivity to meet demands of the local command.
2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Collecting, organizing, and evaluating, at the strategic level, information processed within the command, sub-command activities and/or supported tenant commands and examines its use in achieving essential work goals.
3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Maintaining continuous strategic oversight and surveillance by conducting formal and informal instruction to functional area personnel on techniques for preparing information for input,explaining work flow and discipline of systems being automated.
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Conducting strategic level monitoring over information system projects to ensure that the maintenance accuracy and efficiency of those information systems are within parameters of mission supported requirements.
