You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the COMPTROLLER DEPARTMENT (N8), DISBURSING, TRAVEL & PAYROLL (N84), COMPLIANCE & TRAVEL (N842), ORDER WRITING (N8422) of MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND.
Duties
You will be responsible for approval of travel authorizations and/or approval of travel vouchers.
You will create, formulate, chart, and graph excel spreadsheets.
You will research financial guides to locate accounting, budgetary and financial information and prepare summaries for use by managers.

- This is a Financial Management Level 1 Certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. This certification level must be achieved within prescribed timelines.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience utilizing the Defense Travel System and must be a subject matter expert in the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) with experience in both Travel Order Writing and Travel Order Liquidation. Experience in identifying travel restrictions, required travel training, area clearances, and overseas travel arrangements. Experience with Daily Expense Files, Central Billing Accounts, Financial Management Systems, and creating, formulating, charting and graphing excel spreadsheets.

Equivalent combinations of education and experience are qualifying for all grade levels for which both education and experience are acceptable.
