You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Support Equipment Department in the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division of NAVAIRWARCENADLKE.

Duties

You will correct/Update allowancing requirement and make changes when allowancing in the procurement plan, Support Equipment Recommendation Data (SERD), WSPD, MAP, PPD and employment data do not match You will track all requisitions from creation to closure to meet audit readiness requirements You will keep the SFIMS database up to date, run report and communicate with program on requirements. You will ensure all proof-load tested items have proper proof load tags/certifications You will coordinate and participate in site activations for program site stand up.

Requirements

  • Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). You must be certified as a Career Field L-Life Cycle Logistics Level II. Certification is required within 24 months of appointment.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Keeping the SFIMS database up to date, run report and communicate with program on requirements; 2. Identifying SE End items that require recalibration or calibration verification and shipping items to the appropriate calibration lab before shipping to the activity; 3. Coordinating shipments to the Fleet and reviewing SERMIS prior to shipment to ensure that there is an authorized allowance at the receiving site; 4. Ensuring all proof-load tested items have proper proof load tags/certifications; 5. Working knowledge of the Support Equipment Management System (SEMS), Staging Facility Inventory Management System (SFIMS) and Local Asset Management System (LAMS) for Basis of Issues (BOI) and employment, FEDMALL, GSA Advantage, Navy ERP (N-ERP) and One Touch.
