You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SAFETY AND OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH SPECIALIST in the Safety Office of NSA WASHINGTON.
Duties
You will Investigate workplaces, facilities, and operation mishaps by obtaining statements from witnesses or taking photographs of mishap scene.
You will analyze plans for modifications of facilities to control unsafe conditions and hazardous equipment use.
You will coordinate long-term studies of unsafe work conditions with supervisors.
You will write articles on safety-related topics of interest to support the safety efforts within an organization.
You will promote safety by making oral presentations at local safety meetings, posting of safety displays, or publishing mishap prevention articles.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Develops and revises safety and occupational health instructions, rules and regulations applicable to operations; 2) Prepares survey reports identifying unsafe operations and conditions; 3) Develops and conducts a safety education program through formal training sessions, guest lectures, and supervisor-employee discussions.
