About the Position:

Duties
Serve as Assistant Program Manager responsible for managing new systems through advanced development, production and fielding.
Assures Interface and coordination of all actions with other Government agencies, including DoD, DA, AMC, and other organization elements to include the Army Security Assistance Enterprise (ASAE).
Directs the work of specialists within the office and, through functional managers, the activities of a greatmany matrix support specialists.
Exercise management control of all functional inputs to the program.
Analyzes the impact that contemplated budget revisions, proposed adjustments, legislative changes, economic trends or directives may have upon projects and take positive action to minimize adverse effects.
Maintains a continuous up to date cognizance of all aspects of project(s).
Establishes priorities,maintains and controls all project milestones and takes necessary action to ensure that all milestones are met.
Maintains liaison with appropriate representatives of DA, industry, supporting organizations and involved foreign governments.
Oversee coordination between assigned program(s) and other systems.
Maintain direct channel communications with system users and the user community.
Attend high level conference and meetings with representatives of DoD, DA, AMC and other commands.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance for the duration of employment.
- This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel away from your permanent duty station requirement of up to 25% of the time.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
- Selectee must meet position requirements for practitioner certification in (A) Program Management within 60 months as of entrance on duty.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: In order to qualify for this position based on experience your resume must describe at least 1 year of specialized experience at the NH-02 level in the Federal Service, which includes work that involves:
(1) managing new systems development, production and fielding; (2) coordinating system development, product improvement plans, and system modification; (3) planning and directing a systems acquisition program to ensure cost/schedule/performance goals are met; (4) evaluating the work of personnel from contractors and other supporting activities to approve, disapprove or modify data (i.e. reports, drawings, specification, configuration changes, etc.); AND (5) providing advice, and/or assistance to senior PM personnel on any products assigned (such as resources, budget revisions, project milestones, financial objectives, etc.).
The definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-02 (or GS-11 equivalent)
