Duties
The United States Space Force (USSF) Headquarters Space Force Command (HQSF) at Schriever Space Force Base is searching for a Cyber Test Deputy Branch Chief (NH-2210-03).
Description:
The Deputy Cyber Test Branch Chief conducts mission based cyber risk assessments (MBCRAs) and managing cyber test and evaluation foundational (CTEF) to evaluate the cybersecurity of hardware and information systems being employed in operations. The Deputy Cyber Test Branch Chief reports to the Cyber Test Branch Chief and assists in developing, implementing, and maintaining the cybersecurity test strategy, policy, standards, and procedures.
Key Skills and Abilities:
1. Professional knowledge of concepts, principles and practices required to support the C5ISR, Space, Aircraft & Munition Weapon Systems and subsystems, and associated Information Technology mission area, enabling the cybersecurity supervisor to serve as an expert in RMF A&A. This knowledge is reflected with the attainment of Cybersecurity certification at the IAM/IAT Level II or III as defined in DOD 8570.01-M and a technical degree or equivalent.
2. A diverse background of experience and knowledge in systems acquisition processes, network/system development and integration, cybersecurity T&E, mission-based cybersecurity risk assessments, and systems security engineering.
3. In-depth knowledge to evaluate complex programs to ensure that system cybersecurity requirements, interfaces, capabilities and program factors are considered in planning, monitoring, and reviewing cybersecurity artifacts, system security engineering documents, and RMF system security plans as part of the acquisition process.
4. Proven experience in the successful execution of Cybersecurity T&E of C5ISR, Space, Aircraft & Munition Weapon Systems and subsystems in acquisition and operational environments.
5. Recognized expert and mastery of weapon system cybersecurity theories, principles, practices, and techniques relating to systems protection.
6. Knowledge of procedures required to test and evaluate and/or assess and authorize C5ISR systems and subsystems.
7. Skill and ability to speak and write effectively to be able to understand, convey, and discuss highly complex and abstract concepts with key government officials, industry officials, and other military and civilian personnel.
8. Knowledge of the principles of planning, program management, and standard acquisition regulations, practices, and procedures.
9. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of an organization.
10. Ability to research, evaluate, interpret, and apply rules, regulations, and procedures to a variety of situations and to recommend timely and economical solutions.
11. Knowledge of and ability to perform human resource management ensuring EEO objectives, professional development, safety regulations, and diversity requirements are met.
12. Professional knowledge in the DoD Test and Evaluation DoD acquisition process. This knowledge is reflected in attaining and maintaining the Defense Acquisition University Test and Evaluation Foundation and Practitioner Certification.
Requirements

- This position is eligible for situational telework, 2-4 days per pay period within commuting distance to the office.
- PCS funding is available.
- Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret w/SCI clearance.
- This position is designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program.
- May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of TDY assignments. 6. May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
- Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
