Duties
The United States Space Force (USSF) Space War Fighting Analysis Center (SWAC) at Colorado Springs, CO is searching for a Deputy, Mission Support Office (NH-2210-04).
Description:
This position serves as the Deputy Director Mission Support Office and acts on behalf of the SWAC Director/Deputy Director and Director of Mission Support Office in all mission support office matters with responsibility for the efficient management and administrative direction of the organization. Manages overall business operations with regards to Security, Information Technology, Facilities and logistics, to include the variety and sequencing of operations, coordination among divisions with a diverse range of functions and responsibilities, while providing customers with required services. Directs, coordinates, and oversees work through subordinate supervisors. Responsible for managing, integrating, and coordinating the collective efforts of a multi-disciplined staff of military, civilian, and/or contractors assigned to support programs. Establishes, revises, or reviews policies, procedures, mission objectives, and organization design for the staff, as necessary to eliminate work problems or barriers to mission accomplishment, promote team building, implement quality improvements, or in response to concerns with regulatory compliance and/or customer requirements. Develops the MSO Directorate's yearly Work Plan and associated Spend Plan and coordinates these plans/schedules with other division chiefs and customers, as appropriate. Balances workload and provides overall direction and vision to the subordinates on a wide range of security, contracting and IT issues. Leads conferences, working groups, and teams comprised of USAF/OSD/Joint/IC and industry participants to advance SWAC mission support capabilities.

7. Knowledge of information systems security program planning and budget cycles.
8. Ability to execute projects and/or studies within established financial and time parameters.
9. Ability to establish and maintain relationships with key individuals/groups within and outside immediate work unit including field-level representatives.
10. Ability to advise senior leaders regarding information system security requirements and processes.
11. Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and written, and present briefings to senior leaders, Air Staff and equivalent counterparts.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- This position is on-site and not eligible for remote or telework.
- Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret w/SCI clearance.
- May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of TDY assignments.
- May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
- Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise; employee must obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance.
- This is a cyber security position; the employee will attain appropriate DoD approved cyber security baseline certificate(s) applicable for cyber security functions required for the DoD position held, within six months.
