You will serve as a TRAINING SPECIALIST in the NAVY SUPPLY CORPS SCHOOL (NSCS), Newport, RI.
Duties
You will provide instruction and serve as s subject matter expert in various aspects of shipboard logistics management to support supply management requirements.
You will conduct technical courses in supply management including but not limited to inventory management, hazardous materials, requisitioning procedures, and supply computer systems.
You will serve as an advisor to training divisions and Supply Officers serving on afloat units and at ashore support facilities, providing assistance in such areas as training, research, and interpretation of supply management regulations.
You will provide training to new instructors, evaluate existing instructors, and provide aid in planning, conducting, and evaluating educational programs as they pertain to your assigned area of responsibility.
You will develop classroom material, determine methods of preparation/presentation, and provide mentorship, counseling and one on one instruction to students having difficulty with coursework.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Advising and providing instruction to students/trainees in supply management functions; 2) Leading or participating in projects, reviews, and studies relating to supply and logistics; 3) Interpreting supply and training instructions and regulations to determine required changes in associated instruction, lesson plans and other training related functions; and 4) Utilizing office software, applications, computers and databases to generate and maintain reports, spreadsheets, lists, logs, files, and presentations of educational/training material.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.M., if related
