You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the SUBMARINE MANAGEMENT BRANCH, NAVAL ARCHITECTURE AND ENGIENERING DVISION, NAVAL ARCHITECTURE AND ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT of CARDEROCK DIV NS.
Duties
You will serve as an infrastructure manager for the Columbia Class Submarine Program.
You will serve as a management advisor to address a wide variety of interrelated infrastructure development that can include financial, contractual, programmatic or other Columbia Class focus areas.
You will develop guidance, policies and procedures for organization and program improvement as related to cost, schedule and performance metrics.
You will prepare and implement long-range planning objectives covering administrative aspects of the organization and other assigned areas.
You will establish and maintain working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate projects.
You will prepare coordinated reports, presentations, and briefings in support of program actions, briefs to senior leadership, and making recommendations.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to lift objects up to 40 pounds in weight.
- You will be expected to be familiar and comply with the Division’s HAZMAT Communication Program.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equiavalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing ship or submarine design or repair project requirements to identify issues, develop reports, and recommend solutions for a warfare program.
