About the Position: Serve as Supervisory Program Analyst for the US Army Recruiting Command's 3D Recruiting Brigade, located at Ft Knox, Ky. Directs and manages a team of operation research analysts, a marketing and mission analysis NCO, and a program analyst whose mission is creating, planning, designing, and developing distribution methodology for recruiters and to achieve recruiting goals for all mission categories.
Duties
Conducts inspections of subordinate locations to ensure conformality with market analysis and recruiting market procedures.
Reviews market research to properly utilize organizational resources and achieve maximum return on investment.
Prepares annual and quarterly target market analysis to determine effective market penetration techniques.
Analyzes collected data to recommend changes to market territory boundaries and organizational configurations.
Utilizes local and state database systems to compiles a wide variety of quantitative data.
Uses analytical techniques to recommend the distribution and allocation of organizational resources.
Provides advice to supervisory and other key personnel with respect to market research, recruiter distribution plans, and mission assignments.
Trains personnel on various aspects of the recruiting market analysis process and procedures.
Requirements
- A one year Probationary Period may be required.
- A one-year Supervisory Probationary Period may be required.
- Secret Clearance is required.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- Travel is required approximately 25% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) conducting market analysis of assigned area to make recommendations to senior-leadership; (2) utilizing a wide range of analytical methods to solve problems; (3) creating marketing reports and/or graphs; and (4) extracting statistical data from an established automated system. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
