You will serve as a Program Analyst in the Director Maritime Headquarters, Total Fleet Force Manpower and Personnel, Fleet Personal and Family Readiness of COMMANDER US PACIFIC FLEET.
Salary Range:
GS-11: $75,640 - $98,330
GS-12: $90,662 - $117856
Duties
You will develop subject matter expertise, staff action officer capabilities, and program manager/analyst capabilities in order to eventually serve as a primary advisor.
You will collaborate with other Service Component Commanders' representatives to advocate for the highest quality of education.
You will review issues affecting the educational environment within the theater, promote open communication, facilitate communication and problem solving, and act to resolve problems.
You will develop skills on the formulation of policy, coordination of activities, and management and administration of Commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet (COMPACFLT) personal and family readiness programs.
You will ensure compliance with existing policies and directives of Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of Navy (DoN).
You will develop knowledge of techniques and administrative principles and practices, planning and processing to develop short and long-range goals for program and policy execution and compliance.
You will conduct data analysis including analysis when warranted, to determine trends, contributing, or other factors.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying analytical and evaluative techniques to provide technical direction on programs, create reports, identify and analyze problems, and develop solutions for improving the efficiency and productivity of educational or quality of life programs.
GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying analytical and evaluative techniques to gather information, identify and research problems, and make recommendations for improving efficiency and effectiveness of educational or quality of life programs.

Education may substitute for specialized experience as follows:
GS-11:
Successful completion of Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, OR;
Successful completion of 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, OR;
Successful completion of LL.M., if related OR;
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
