About the Position: Serves within the G4 Logisitics & Facilities Directorate Branch as a Senior Logistics Management Specialist.
Duties
Recognizes the need for, initiates, and/or develops revision of command policies, procedures, practices, and regulations and methods for improving, simplifying, and standardizing logistics operations within the command.
Performs as a project leader and Action Officer, determining time lines, arranging schedules, planning, assigning, coordinating and reviewing the work of the team.
Initiates corrective actions.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
- Due to the nature of this position, employees are required to work both planned and unscheduled overtime.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service which includes: preparing command reports and directives based on field visits, including observations, findings, and recommendations for resolution of problems such as personnel staffing, funding, supply and maintenance procedures, responsiveness of supply support, and attainment of prescribed standards. Making staff visits to installations and the higher and adjacent headquarters to evaluate, coordinate, and review programs and procedures regarding general logistics matters. Analyzing and evaluating logistics studies, technical reports, supply data systems, contractor studies, and materiel.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
