The PMO provides program and acquisition management for the systems and capabilities that modernize and sustain the National Airspace System (NAS) to advance NAS programs from concept to operation while providing technical support for air traffic control automation and decision support systems.
Duties
The four (4) PMO directorates' key functional areas are: (1) integrated resource management, engineering planning, analysis and integration, and program health management and acquisition support; (2) services that support decision making for traffic flow managers and services that go directly to pilots to improve safety and efficiency; (3) implementation and execution of the systems and services that tie ground systems and aircraft together through communications, navigation, weather and aeronautical information and flight services in the NAS; and (4) support aircraft separation services provided by controllers to pilots with accurate and capable surveillance and automation.
Requirements
- US Citizenship is required.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.

Qualifications
Applicants must demonstrate at least one year (52 weeks) of SPECIALIZED experience equivalent to the next lower grade/pay band (FG/GS-13/FV-I) in the Federal government. Specialized experience is defined as that which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform the duties of the position and is typically in or directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled.SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is defined as:Experience applying Earned Value Management (EVM) or other evaluative methods to analyze cost, schedule and performance and
make recommendations to address variances.You should include relevant examples of the specialized experience in your work history.
