The PMO provides program and acquisition management for the systems and capabilities that modernize and sustain the National Airspace System (NAS) to advance NAS programs from concept to operation while providing technical support for air traffic control automation and decision support systems.

Duties

The four (4) PMO directorates' key functional areas are: (1) integrated resource management, engineering planning, analysis and integration, and program health management and acquisition support; (2) services that support decision making for traffic flow managers and services that go directly to pilots to improve safety and efficiency; (3) implementation and execution of the systems and services that tie ground systems and aircraft together through communications, navigation, weather and aeronautical information and flight services in the NAS; and (4) support aircraft separation services provided by controllers to pilots with accurate and capable surveillance and automation.

• Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-H, FG/GS-12 level. This experience is typically related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE IS DEFINED AS:Experience gathering, analyzing, and evaluating program requirements, and plansANDExperience in project management activities to include establishing schedules, evaluating progress, problems, resolution, and adjusting resource allocations.You should include relevant examples of the specialized experience in your work history.
