You will serve as a SUPERVISORY QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST in the QUALITY ASSURANCE DEPT - C130 of SOUTHWEST REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CENTER.

Duties

You will review workload and technical demands to adjust personnel assignments. You will evaluate employee performance related to the quality of work processes and products. You will manage operations in the Depot NDT branch, Code 135A developing new employees and continuous process improvement. You will be responsible for the review and approval of workload and technical demands and assignments. You will analyze data, develop metrics, determine feasible and best alternatives, and make viable recommendations for high-risk areas. You will ensure that contractor performed NDT work conforms to contract and meets requirements. You will develop and maintain command and departmental instructions for processes related to quality assurance.

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: developing and implementing non-destructive testing (NDT) programs for production and contracted work.
