About the Position: Serve as a Budget Analyst in the Construction Division. This is a developmental position and has promotion potential to the GS-09 grade level. May be filled at either grade level.

Duties

Responsible for the formulation, justification, and execution, tracking and monitoring of the budget program. Review and interprets new and established directives, instructions and regulations. Interpret complex annual budget regulations, policies, laws and guidelines. Prepare draft and final justification documents.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires FMC02 - Financial Management Certification Level 2 within 24 months of appointment.
• Temporary Duty (TDY) is 10%.
• May be selected at any grade level with non-competitive promotion potential to target grade. Non-competitive promotion potential to the target grade based on time-in-grade requirements and demonstrated ability to perform the higher graded duties.

In order to be creditable under this provision, Superior Academic Achievement must have been gained in a curriculum that is qualifying for the position to be filled.
