This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position:

Duties

Serves as a member of a team administering the off-base housing services program Conducts activities to include housing referral and relocation support. Performs various inspections of community rental property to determine adequacy, habitability and suitability as a listing for referral Assist the supervisor, in developing overall installation plans and procedures and development of short and long range barracks sustainment, restoration, modernization, or replacement projects. Plans and budgets for maintenance, repair and distribution of family and bachelor housing furniture including furniture for troop billets. Use directives, regulations, and repair contracts as guides in determining furniture requirements and to estimate changes.Uses directives, regulations, and repair contracts as guides in determining furniture requirements and to estimate changes. Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Financial Disclosure Statement OGE Form 450 is used to assist agencies and employees to avoid conflicts between duties and financial interest.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

Qualifications

Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes maintaining housing referral lists and counseling applicants on types of housing available; conducting housing in-processing and out-processing; scheduling regular replacement of all furnishings provided to residents AND implementing an inspection program to identify housing deficiencies and recommend corrective actions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
