You will serve as a ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the Technical Support Branch (282), Expanded Planning Yard Division (280), Office of the Chief Engineer (24), Engineering and Planning Department (200) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
Duties
You will plan, estimate, schedule, control and coordinate the engineering efforts required for the accomplishment of complete design projects on nuclear and non-nuclear naval ships.
You will initiate the modification or cancellation of job orders.
You will review and evaluate data supporting or authorizing engineering work.
You will perform engineering analysis of the data obtaind through personal contact with customers
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience applying mechanical, electrical and structural engineering theories, principles, methods, techniques to the operation of assigned ship system; Experience setting and altering work priorities based on workload and identifying project specific events and milestones; Experience utilizing shipyard production methods to accomplish work; Experience planning work to be accomplished by subordinates and establishing priorities and timetables.
