Duties
Presents in-house functional training programs for Retired and Annuitant Pay (R/A) personnel
Ensures that all required training aids, material, and equipment are readily available and present for each class session and in sufficient supply
Evaluates the effectiveness of training activities within prescribed areas.
Continuously revises lesson plans for such things as to meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date.
Requirements

- Registered for Selective Service (males born after 12-31-1959)
- Suitable for Federal employment
- Time after Competitive Appointment: Candidates must have served 3 months after latest competitive appointment in the Federal service.

Qualifications
One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-07) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
Specialized experience is defined as assisting in the delivery or development of subject-matter or specialty courses; modifying training guides, visual aids, or other training materials; and assisting in the evaluation of training to adjust for alignment with functional skills or needs.
Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-07 or higher grade in Federal Service.
Education
GS-9 Substitution of Education for Experience: Two full years of progressively higher level graduate education, Master's or equivalent graduate degree, may be substituted to meet the specialized experience requirement. Major study --
education or a subject area related to the position to be filled. Equivalent combinations of successfully completed graduate level education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirements.
