Duties
Coordinate with managers to update schedule, agenda and book conference rooms as needed.
Coordinate and make travel arrangements, to include scheduling, itinerary details, reservations, preparation of travel vouchers and pre and post trip reports, and other related correspondence.
Establish priorities, sets up, reschedules, or refuses appointments, accepts or declines invitations to meetings, and arranges for representation by a subordinate official when that is desirable.
Prepare correspondence for signature, to include proof-reading, formatting in compliance with the medical treatment facility Medical (MTF).
Receive visitors and telephone calls and determine and refer to appropriate section.
Utilize multiple office automation software with varied functions to produce a wide range of documents, reports, and spreadsheets.
Prepare regular and special records such as attendance, leave, taking meeting notes
Compose correspondence, takes meeting notes and prepare regular and special records such as attendance, and leave.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position requires a typing proficiency of at least 40 words per minute (WPM) based on a 5 minute sample with 3 or fewer errors.
- This position requires a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination.
- A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
Qualifications
This position is a developmental GS-06/07 level with promotion potential to a GS-08. The position may be filled at either level GS-06 or GS-07 or GS-08. If selected at the GS-06 or GS-07 level; noncompetitive promotion to the next grade level is authorized; pending time in grade requirements and demonstrated ability to perform at the next higher/target level grade duties.

Specialized Experience for GS-07: One year of specialized experience which includes providing clerical and administrative support; maintaining office calendars and schedules; and reviewing correspondence for grammar, format and regulatory compliance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
Specialized Experience for GS-08: One year of specialized experience which includes maintaining multiple office calendars and schedules; making traveling arrangements; submitting travel vouchers and reports; reviewing and editing correspondence to ensure correct grammar and appropriate format. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5-minute sample with three or fewer errors.
