About the Position: This position is located at the Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCoE), Fort Moore, Georgia, GA 31905. "The Maneuver Center of Excellence" Fort Moore is located 100 miles south of Atlanta, Georgia and adjacent to Columbus, Georgia and Phenix City, Alabama. The geography and climate are ideal for year-round military training. Public transportation and free parking is available.

Duties

Utilize computer software programs, i.e. Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, or Access) and/or Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF), to create, update, edit, or compose a wide range of correspondence or documents. Manage appointment calendars and/or schedules for senior officials. Establish priorities when making appointments and meetings. Receive visitor/phone calls and refers to the appropriate individual or office. Participate in the establishment and maintenance of office files consisting of correspondence, reports, regulations, and Standard Operating Procedures.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes serving as secretary for senior leadership; maintaining and synchronizing multiple senior officials calendars; perform routine administrative tasks such as screening calls, ascertaining visitors and mail; and using appropriate protocol to arrange meetings, conferences, and travel arrangements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementClericalCustomer ServiceManages and Organizes Information Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-6). All applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements within thirty (30) days after the closing date of the announcements.
