Financial Resources Management
Qualifications
To qualify at the GS-11 level, you must have one of the following:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 Level in the Federal service performing complex analyses. Examples of specialized experience may include: using quantitative and qualitative analytical techniques to evaluate the effectiveness of administrative procedures; engaging in on-going analysis of financial matters to determine resources required and ensuring that regulations concerning financial management are adhered to; applying various analytical techniques to data management systems in order to identify patterns and trends; performing management studies to evaluate and measure the progress and success of projects assigned and to identify and recommend ways to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of programs and activities.
OR
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
To qualify at the GS-12 level, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 Level in federal service performing, leading, and overseeing complex analyses. Examples of experience include: using quantitative/qualitative analytical techniques to evaluate the effectiveness of administrative procedures & operations, & to recommend changes to meet short/long-term strategic plans; engaging in on-going analysis of financial matters to determine resources required & ensuring that regulations concerning financial management are adhered to; applying various analytical techniques to data management systems in order to identify and report on patterns/trends; & performing management studies to evaluate & analyze projects, programs, & activities & to recommend solutions to increase efficiency/effectiveness.
Experience refers to paid/unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) & other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, & skills & can provide valuable training/experience that translates directly to paid work. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Education may be substituted for experience for the GS-11 grade level as described in "Qualifications." If qualifying based on education, you must submit TRANSCRIPTS (unofficial copies are acceptable) or a DIPLOMA that verifies that the requirement is met.
