You will serve as a PROGRAM ANALYST (SUPPORT SERVICES) in the Executive Support Division (Code 1140), of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.

Duties

You will provide analysis, interpretation, and implementation of programs in areas of directives, reports, forms, and records. You will analyze work progress, program objectives, policies, and work operations and provide technical guidance, recommendations, and information to operational managers concerning procedures, and policies. You will provide complex substantive management support services in the areas of program cost analysis, program process improvement, and development of PHNSY and IMF metric reports. You will determine actions required and coordinate with other organizational segments to develop required data and prepare required reports, fact sheets, charts, or other output. You will review and analyze qualitative information by applying established methods of data collection, determining trends, noting changing operating conditions or developments, and identifying new or continuing problems. You will analyze the overall division and its work, prepare written reports of findings and a plan of action and milestones (POAM) to implement solutions for the problems identified.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-9 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Compiles and analyzes data to identify trends, create reports and/or provide updated metrics, and recommend improvements to programs to optimize operations. Experience with working in a Shipyard or Industrial type organizational structure and/or work environment.
