This position is part of the Organization of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The incumbent will be responsible for all aspects of content requirements, design, development, delivery, tracking, reporting, prioritization, and external funding coordination; courseware coordination and support.
Duties
As a KNOWLEDGE SERVICE SPECIALIST at the GS-0301-14 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Serving as a recognized authority on development and interpretation of guidelines, policies, legislation, and regulations; then creatively incorporates these requirements into JKO products and services disseminated across the joint enterprise.
Developing team policy that is complementary and consistent with the foundational policy for the division.
Developing plans and procedures to be responsive to the program's overall objectives and determines time frames and resources relevant to team requirements for products and service.
Identifying and validating JKO Knowledge Service based requirements and manages the analysis, execution, and maintenance of all JKO operational capabilities.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the 13 grade level in the Federal service:
Identifies and validates Joint Knowledge Service based requirements and manages the analysis, execution, and maintenance of all operational capabilities;
Applies professional expertise and competence in applying the principles, standards, and directives;
Develops, delivers, track and reports individual web-based training products and services for use by the joint enterprise;
Expert knowledge of the design characteristics, capabilities, limitations, and potential applications of the overall JKO Joint Content Management Architecture (JCMA) which includes the Learning Content Management System (LCMS), Courseware Builder, Reports Builder, Small Group Scenario Trainer (SGST), Virtual Classroom (VCLASS), Joint Training Requirements System (JTRS), and the Army Training Requirements and Resources System (ATRRS).
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
