This position is part of the Department of Defense (DoD), Missile Defense Agency (MDA) . The incumbent will be responsible for researching and recommending feasible studies for application/operations changes related to video teleconference, telephony, and wireless services provisioning.
Duties
As a IT Specialist (Systems Analysis/Security) at the NH-2210-3 broadband level some of your typical work assignments may include:
Provides oversight for Unified Communications (UC) to deliver reliable UC systems to support the BMDS mission.
Provides recommendations to support upgrades and emerging technologies for all application/operations related to Unified Communications systems.
Establishes direct lines of communications and fosters good working relationships with functional users, to understand user specific requirements related to Unified Communications.
Conducts feasibility studies and builds needed relationships with Unified Communications Vendors, to help incorporate state of the art technology.

- This is an acquisition position coded Practitioner in Engineering and Technical Management. Incumbent must obtain mandatory Back-to-Basics (BtB) certification within 60 months of entry into position.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the NH-03 broadband level if you fulfill the following qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02/GS-11 grade level in the Federal service:
Knowledgeable of Unified Communications information technology, principles, concepts and policies.
Collaborates and establishes lines of communications to capture requirements that address specific user needs.
Technically proficient in the deployment and utilization of Unified Communications systems and infrastructures.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
In addition to meeting qualifications, your application package must reflect the applicable experience to meet the Individual Occupational Requirements for the 2210 series.
