About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the ST-IC-W6EC01 US ARMY ACQUISITION SUPPORT CENTER.

Duties

Serves as the Senior Technical lead of an enterprise architecture program consisting of diverse business process information technology, telecommunications equipment, software development operations environments, and production environments for TSMO. Analyzes and applies enterprise architecture best practices/standards, to include security, reference data architectures, documentation across IT and software components – while factoring in costs, performance, scalability, security, and usability. Leads IT, software, network and security related integrated product teams to achieve cost, schedule and performance outcomes. Collaborates with multiple Army offices to understand mission requirements, apply/integrate relevant reference models for data and workflows, architecture, and relevant telecommunications frameworks. Supports TSMO programs assigned by Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition Logistics and Technology. ASA(ALT) through research, prototyping, development, integration, production and operations and maintenance for achieving desired outcomes. Maintains currency in industry trends related to data science, artificial intelligence, vulnerability assessments, data environments, data acquisition/processing capabilities, enterprise workflow, collaboration and visualization. Designs/leads configuration management processes/decisions related to configurations across software baselining, monitoring performance across architectures and supporting cost benefit analyses on future enhancements.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain a TOP SECRET Special Compartmented Intelligence (SCI)security clearance as a result of a current and favorable Special Background Investigation (SBI).
  • Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) to worldwide locations may constitute up to 30%.
  • This position requires the employee to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entering the position, and annually thereafter. See the Additional Information section.

Specialized experience includes, or is supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined: (1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
