Duties
You will serve as one of SSP's points of contact and is a subject matter expert for the DON Nuclear Weapons Accident/Incident (NWAI) Program.
You will coordinate and manage the development of Navy NWI policy and written technical guidance to be issued as OPNAV Directives in support of the Navy's Naval Nuclear Deterrence Mission (NNDM).
You will analyze and evaluate on a quantitative/qualitative basis the effectiveness of the Navy's NWAI Program for compliance and meeting established goals and objectives with existing DoD, JCS, and DON policy.
You will serve as an inspector on the SSP nuclear weapons Technical Inspection team, which includes preparation of detailed reports of NWAI program findings.
You will coordinate with the Strategic Weapons Facilities, Fleet representatives, and Naval Reactors, to define, integrate, and implement a strategic plan for naval nuclear weapons outreach with Federal, State, Local, and Tribal Authorities.
You will direct and develop plans for CNO's NWAI Cross Functional Team (CFT) to accomplish the CFT's and related groups' projects and studies.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-13) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing, coordinating, or evaluating emergency management (EM) programs (e.g. Weapons Accident/Incidence (NWAI), Continuity of Operations (COOP), technical inspections, etc.)) to ensure compliance.
