You will serve as an Electronics Technician in the Weapons Sensors Seekers & Guid Division, Weapons & Energetics Department of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.

Duties

You will support the hardware, software, design, analysis, and integration and testing of two anechoic chambers. You will be responsible for two Commercial Service Agreement (CSA) Contracts for Northrup Grumman, receiving and performing characterization testing of AARGM/AARGM-ER housings for production. You will oversee all projects such as fabricating test boxes, end to end testing, building test cables to support multiple weapon programs. You will lead the testing and certifying of the Flight Termination Receivers (FTR’s) for multiple weapon programs for live fires. You will oversee the management of funding, schedules, and other team members.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band (DT-04) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate duties related to the following: 1) Leading the testing and certification of Flight Termination Receivers (FTRs) for multiple weapon programs for live fires; 2) Overseeing all projects supporting Radar weapon programs (i.e. fabricating test boxes, end to end testing, building test cables, etc.); 3) Providing technical writings, briefings, and RF (Radio Frequency) signal analysis for comprehensive reporting; 4) Creating estimates for current and future contracts and for weapon programs/projects.
