You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN in the RANGES/TRGTS OPS/INSTRMTN & LABS GROUP, CHINA LAKE RANGES DEPT of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.
Duties
You will serve as the the Section Head for Threat Systems within the Electronic Warfare Threat Systems Branch of China Lake Ranges, NAWCD. Code DB1221M.
You will provide feedback and appropriate documentation for employee performance of STRL objectives.
You will assist with modernization proposals for assigned systems as required in order to ensure range capabilities keep pace with customer requirements.
You will provide section level representation for assigned systems to China Lake Range customers, providing tours and/or briefs as required.

- Generally, current federal employees applying for STRL jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower band level. This requirement is called time-in-band. Time-in-band requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level or pay band (NM-03) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector in order to perform the duties of a Supervisory Electronics Technician. Specialized experience must include some or all of the following: 1) Planning, directing, coordinating, conducting, and operational support of various Threat radars, simulators/emulators, and passive systems; 2) identifying developmental and training needs of employees; 3) Demonstrating experience with operations, development, test, and administrative teams.
