This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, United States Coast Guard, Health, Safety, and Work-Life Service Center, Business Planning, Management, and Analysis Cell (Division) in Norfolk, VA.
Duties
The position is located in the Health, Safety, and Work-Life Service Center (HSWL SC) in Norfolk, VA. The selectee will be responsible for assisting the Budget Officer in the day-to-day administration of budget formulation, execution and distribution, equipment procurement and recapitalization, health care staffing and facility construction initiatives, federal mandated program impact studies and audits.

Qualifications
For the GS-9: Applicant must have a minimum of 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-7 grade level. Specialized experience includes: monitoring obligations, developing, gathering and analyzing financial data, reconcilation and oversight of accounts, review medical and/or surgical orders using vendor contracts and web-based programs, research and resolve errors related to orders, deliveries and billing, track orders, monitor corrective action plans, prepare accounting data for briefings and reports, develop statistical and trend reports. OREducation: Master's or equivalent graduate degreeOR2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degreeORLL.B. or J.D., if related.OR Combination of Education and Experience: Only graduate education in excess of the amount required for the next lower grade level may be used to qualify applicants for positions at the grade level GS-09.Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
