You will serve as a Motor Vehicle Operator Supervisor in the 647th Logistics Readiness Squadron Department, Deployment and Distribution Flight, Ground Transportation Vehicle Operations SectionBranch of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR PEARL HARBOR.
Duties
You will properly load, arrange, and secure cargo to prevent overloading or unevenly loaded cargo on trailers.
You will plan and organize work assignments to include determining resources required to accomplish mission.
You will operate motor vehicles with a gross vehicle weight of up to 26,000 lbs., to include truck tractors with semi or full trailers, and motor coaches.
You will plan subordinate workload, equipment, facilities, and materials usage on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
You will participate in meetings and discussions regarding initial planning of current and future work schedules, budget requests, staffing needs, estimates and provide recommendations as to scheduling projected work.
You will investigate work related problems such as excessive costs or low productivity and determine causes; implement corrective actions within designated authority to resolve work problems.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.

In addition, I have performed work involving the operation of ground transportation motor vehicles with a gross vehicle weight (GVW) of more than 26,000 pounds to transport oversized loads including cargo, supplies, equipment, and passengers. I have followed all traffic and safety regulations, practices, and procedures pertaining to the operation of these vehicles. I have recognized developing hazardous roads and traffic conditions adjusting driving methods to accommodate surrounding traffic and selecting alternative route to avoid potential problems. I have interpreted instructions, specifications, etc. related to motor vehicle operation, preventive maintenance, and passenger safety. I have coupled/uncoupled truck and trailer to connect/disconnect air brakes and electrical lines. I have determined manner and sequence of loading cargo and passengers to achieve balance and protection for fragile items. I have performed operator maintenance and operator inspections to recognize developing maintenance problems. I have maintained strict two-way radio (or other device) discipline utilizing established codes and identification when broadcasting. I have followed safety practices and procedures, rules and regulations, and have maintained a safe and clean work environment.
